It is best to get in contact initially before your due date so we can schedule you in within the first 10 days of their life. Those first days are when newborns are at their sleepiest which allows us to work for efficiently whilst keeping baby happy.

I’m a lifestyle photographer, so i’m afraid we won’t be dressing your baby up and positioning them in flower pots. There is 100% a market for that style of shoot, and there are some wonderfully talented photographers out there who focus on that, but i’m not one of them. For me, this time is all about capturing the raw emotions and connections that are present when a new baby is welcomed home.  It is very rare to get a full session of shooting without the need for breaks which is why I ask you to leave up to 2 hours to allow for feeding, cuddling, changing etc. The sessions take place in the comfort of your home, where your baby feels safe and comfortable. My favourite rooms to shoot in are the master bedroom and nursery but this is your session, and i’ll work around whatever suits your family.

Whatever they wear normally! As a lifestyle photographer, my job is to capture your life. There’s something ever so cute about a naked baby though so I do have a few nappy covers which make them look a lot nicer than your average disposable!  If we are shooting in your home, I ask that you turn the heating up to accommodate this as a cold baby isn’t a happy baby!

Whilst I don’t overly pose babies, I have no problem with adding a few headbands, hats, etc if this is what you want. I also love to include little things with special meanings so if your newborn was given a teddy before he was born, let’s incorporate it!

Your images will be made available through an online password protected gallery. Here you have the option of downloading all of your images, organising your favourites and sharing them with friends and family. Only those to whom you give the password will have access to the gallery.

Images will  also be made available on a USB.

All shoots are paid for in cash on the day.  

I try to make the shoot as fun and relaxed as possible for everyone involved. People always ask “how do you get them to pose so naturally” and the truth is, there’s no posing involved. I’m basically just joining you on your day out. I’ll follow you around and capture though real authentic moments that you’d miss in a flash. The shoot will normally take around 1 hour. Location is your choice, be that in your home, a park or the beach.

Every parent knows it’s impossible to force a child to wear something they don’t want.. so don’t worry too much about clothing. It’s the smiles and cuddles that we’re going to capture. If your child decides they want to dress like superman on the day of your shoot.. don’t worry.. it’ll look great!

Getting the whole family involved in a shoot can be a lot of fun and you will be surprised how much easier it is to act natural in front of a camera around your loved ones . Pick a location of your choice, if it has happy memories then even better! I’ll accompany you on your day out and capture the natural interactions between you and your family members.

For large groups, I’d usually suggest clothing should be kept as plain and simple as possible. Logos and patterns outdate quickly and can distract from the subjects. Saying that, this shoot isn’t about your clothes, the smiles are your faces will be what everyone focuses on, so don’t overthink it.

Any! From Christenings to your Granny’s 90^th birthday! I love shooting events because I get to witness people in their natural environments. My style is very much documentary. I won’t be wandering round posing people and asking people to shout “cheese”, so just relax, and forget I’m even there!

If I do my job well, then you’ll barely notice I’m there. I will stay in the background capturing those unposed, unexpected “real” moments. I won’t get in the way; I will merely focus on the interactions between you and your guests.

I’m a natural light photographer. On the rare occasion that there’s really no light to work with, i’ll use my flash, but i try to avoid this as much as possible, mainly because when a flash is going off people tend to get awkward and you get those cheesy, uncomfortable grins.

I like to stay for a minimum of an hour to make sure I’ve taken enough photos of all your guests. After that the option is yours; I can stay for as long as you like.
